Evening Prayer Offers Opportunity for Calm Reflection
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, all are invited for evening prayer. The approximate half-hour service begins each evening at 6:30 pm. This service brings a feeling of calm and quiet into our hectic lives by focusing on the Scripture and meaningful prayer.
Basics of Faith Class Planned September 5-7
Older youth and adults interested in learning more about the Episcopal faith or preparing for reception or confirmation are invited to participate in Basics of the Faith on September 5-7. The class is designed for those who want to become Episcopalians or want to become full voting members of St. Andrew’s church. It is also for people who aren’t sure whether or not they want to join the Episcopal church, but want to learn more about it. And for those who are Episcopalian, the class offers a wonderful “refresher” course. Basics of the Faith provides a lot of information—about theology, church history, the elements of our worship and the Book of Common Prayer, etc. In addition, the group session also encourages discussion and free interplay of ideas and questions. Contact the church office at 713-861-5596 to reserve your space in the class.Centennial Campaign – Mark Your Calendars!
